Mitchell County Schools strives to encourage all students, teachers, and administrators to become technologically literate responsible cybercitizens by providing state-of-the-art infrastructure, classroom computers, Internet connectivity, staff development opportunities, and instructional software.

MCS is very proud of the technological support provided to all of our students.  We fully support learning outcomes for the 21st century learner and know that in order for our students to be competitive after their formal education they need to possess rich, technological knowledge.  We are very excited about the 1:1 Laptop Initiative (click the tab to the left for more information about this program) where every high school student will be issued their own laptop computer.  This personal device supports the 21st century learner and will help lead a transformation of teaching and learning to provide a differentiated, problem solving based learning environment where higher-order thinking skills are utilized in a student-centered classroom.
