The
media center at Mitchell High School houses
over 12,000 reference, non-fiction and
fiction titles. It also has a computer
lab of 24 networked
internet-accessible machines within the
facility. Wireless internet access is
also provided. The media center is open daily
from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and during
both lunch periods, unless classes are
scheduled.
Books are checked out for a three week
period, and overdue fines are 5¢
per day. Students may acquire
replacement ID cards in the library for a
fee of $10.00. Incoming freshmen are
issued student ID cards in early October.
Each student is issued one ID at no charge.
ID cards are required for admittance to
school functions and serve as a photo ID for
academic tests, such as the SAT.
