Over the past couple of weeks, there have been several incidents where students’ social media use at home has created disruptions at school. Many of the apps students use on personal devices are not designed or meant for harm, but are being used as a platform for disruptive behavior. Our servers block social media on school-issued student devices at both school and home. We try to teach our students the importance of digital citizenship and about being a responsible user of technology. We encourage you to talk to your child about appropriate use of technology as well.

Mayland Early College High School student, Dawson Silvers, won Senior Individual Muzzleloading and Senior Overall Muzzleloading. Dawson placed second in Senior Individual Match Compound Archery and second in Senior Overall Match Compound Archery. He also advanced to state in Senior Individual Rifle Telescopic and Senior Individual Compound Hunter/Sporter Archery. Congratulations!
Our next substitute teacher training will be Tuesday, September 12 at 1:00. This will be the last training until January. Anyone interested in becoming a substitute must complete the yearly training.

As the fall sports season starts, please be aware of social media posts with fake streaming links! Anytime Mitchell ballgames are streamed through NFHS Network, we will post the official link on our Mitchell Mountaineers page to eliminate confusion.
Congratulations to Mayland Early College Science teacher, Neva Winters for being awarded the GO grant in the amount of $7,500. The money will be spent on operations and student actives pertaining to the MCC greenhouses.

iPad sale information...when you purchase one of the iPads, you will get a nice complimentary case and charger. We do have lots of cases and chargers however supplies are limited. If you show up later in the week, they are not guaranteed. We have a nice protective tablet-style case (perfect for little hands) and the fold out keyboard case.
We will have a public iPad sale on June 27th, 28th and 29th in the library at MHS from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.
