Mitchell County Schools will operate on a Remote Education Day tomorrow, Wednesday, January 17. Please follow guidelines set forth by your school for remote days. Practices, games, and school-sponsored events are also cancelled tomorrow due to cold temperatures and wind chills.
Just a reminder that school will be closed on Monday and Tuesday for students next week! Tuesday is a required professional development day for staff.

DOT is working throughout the county, but there are still some scattered slick spots throughout the county, especially on Cane Creek and Roan Valley. Student drivers, please use caution and notify your school to let them know if you are unable to get to school safely.
