Mitchell County Schools will operate on a Remote Education Day, today, Monday, January 29th. Please follows the guidelines set forth by your school for Remote Days.

Due to snow that has fallen in parts of our county today and overnight forecasts for additional snow, Mitchell County Schools will be on a 2 hour delay Monday, January 29. We will assess conditions in the morning and make a decision by 7:30am, if a change in schedule is necessary

Mitchell County Schools will be on a regular schedule Wednesday, January 24. Buses will run safe roads only.

Mitchell County Schools will be on a 2 hour delay tomorrow, Tuesday, January 23. We understand that there are a few roads that buses will be unable to run and will try to post those to social media later tonight. If you still have concerns with safe travel in the morning, please contact your principal.

Mitchell County Schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, January 22 for students. It will be a Schedule 3 Teacher Workday. There will be no remote learning for students. Staff, please report on Schedule 3 so maintenance and custodial staff can clear parking lots and sidewalks.

Mitchell County Schools will operate on a Remote Education Day tomorrow, Wednesday, January 17. Please follow guidelines set forth by your school for remote days. Practices, games, and school-sponsored events are also cancelled tomorrow due to cold temperatures and wind chills.

Parents, just a reminder that we do not have school on Monday, January 15th in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Tuesday, January 16th is a required workday for students and staff for mandatory training for teachers. Students will return Wednesday, January 17th. Thank you and have a good evening.

Mitchell County Schools will be closed today, Wednesday, January 10th. Additional snowfall over night and sub-freezing temperatures have caused scattered black ice and snow covered roads in areas of our county. This will be a Schedule 2 Workday for staff.

Mitchell County Schools will be on a 2 Hour Delay, tomorrow, Wednesday, January 10th. A 2hr delay allows our buses and student drivers to travel after daylight and see possible issues better. Roads will be checked in the morning and a decision made before 7:30, if necessary.

Parents, this is a reminder that tomorrow, Wednesday the 20th, will be an early dismissal and Greenlee will dismiss at 12:05. Students will return to school January 3rd. We hope everyone has a good Christmas break and we look forward to seeing you in 2024!
