Mitchell High School

This has been a difficult week and not what we expected in terms of weather and ice. We also know that more winter weather is predicted to begin tomorrow and continue throughout the weekend, causing us to potentially miss some days next week. Tomorrow, Friday, January 30, will be a Remote Learning Day for students. If your child's device is still at the high school, they can pick it up today from 1:00 - 5:00 and tomorrow from 7:00 - 3:00. Look for instructions from your teachers for Remote Day work. The schedule for remote days is as follows:
9:00 - 10:00 First Block
10:00 - 11:00 Second Block
11:00 - 12:00 Lunch
12:00 - 1:00 Third Block
1:00 - 2:00 Fourth Block

Pictured from left to right are Ethan Hopson, Brody Laws, Londyn Nunez, Daija Sheppard, MaryGrace Davis and Alexis Elkins. (We had to take this just after dismissal so they were fighting some sunlight at the time.)

With over 1800 total registrations, our highest ranked student musicians were Daija Sheppard, who placed 34th out of 88 trumpet auditions and Brody Laws, who placed 17th out of 38 percussion auditions.
