In honor of Red Ribbon Week, students at Mitchell High School gathered to hear Jessie Hansen! Ms. Hansen takes a research-based approach to teach the importance of making good choices. She gives students four proven tools that can take their lives from average to extraordinary. She addresses healthy vs. toxic relationships, bullying prevention, and lessons from history’s greatest leaders, all while sharing hilarious personal stories and dynamic pop music! We are grateful that she came to share her story with us at Mitchell High School!

On Saturday, October 17th the Mitchell High School Mountaineer Band traveled to Morganton to represent MHS at the 38th Freedom Classic. In addition to a performance that showcased the progress they have made this season, our members enjoyed a day of teambuilding, listening and fellowship as they shared the field with some of the top bands in the state. They will make one more regular season appearance on the road October 30th before turning their attention to playoffs, parades and the start of concert season.
Congratulations to our volleyball team on the 3-1 win today! They will advance to the second round of the playoffs!
