Free Breakfast & Lunch for 2024-25 school year!!

We are excited about the upcoming school year and the changes and opportunities that it will bring for our students. As usual, kindergarten will have a staggered entry based on last name to help them become acclimated to school. Also, we will have a staggered entry based on grade level for Mitchell Elementary and Mitchell Middle this year. We hope this will be better for students to become familiar with the building and parents to become familiar with drop-off/pick-up procedures. Mitchell High School and Mayland Early College will have a regular schedule for all students beginning the first day of school. The document below outlines the schedule for the first week for each school.

Rising Seniors!
You have to schedule a senior formal and casual picture for the yearbook. You can always get casual pictures done elsewhere, but you MUST get your formal picture done with Prestige Portraits.
The link to schedule a session at school is www.prestigeportraits.com/bookappointment. Begin by selecting your school under School Photography. This year seniors will be able to sign up for either a Deluxe Session, which includes casual poses, or a Basic Yearbook Session. All scheduling and payments should be made through the website.
The dates are set for June 24th and 25th. There will be one makeup day in the fall.

Students in Mitchell High Drafting classes in the 2023-24 school year completed their Autodesk Certified User exams this year. The Autodesk Certified User (ACU) certification is an industry-recognized credential that can effectively start students’ careers as designers, engineers, and makers. It enhances students' higher ed applications and resumes by providing evidence of competency and proficiency. The certification is an excellent way for students with about 150 hours of real-world Autodesk software experience to validate their software skills. Earning this level of certification while in school will give students confidence as they continue to master Autodesk products and pursue professional-level certification in the future.
A total of 93 out of 96 students passed their certifications across all drafting classes in the 2023-24 school year. Santiago Chavez-Salvador scored a perfect 1000 on his first attempt at ACU AutoCAD certification. Congratulations to all students on this outstanding accomplishment!
