Spring Musical Sneak Peak!
Who? ALL Kindergarten -12th graders are invited
When? Wacky Wednesdays! September 10 and September 17, 2025
What? After school sneak peak! This time is set aside for students who want to know more about the show, learn songs, get to know the teachers in charge, and HAVE FUN!
Time? until 4:00. Ask your principal about riding a bus over to the high school. Pick up your child at 4:00 on the MHS circle. Plan to sign a “pick-up sheet” until we get to know parents’ faces.

We had the BEST first day back ever, and we are looking forward to an amazing year at Mitchell High School! Here is the Mitchell High School Class of 2026!
We are excited to see everyone tomorrow morning! Breakfast will be served from 7:15 to 7:40. The first bell will ring at 7:40, and students will report to the gym for a back-to-school meeting and Senior Walk! Reminder: Cell phones should be placed in the cell phone caddy located in each classroom upon entering class. Parents, if you need to contact your child during class, please call the front office, and we will make sure you can talk to your child. Traffic will likely be heavy during the first couple of weeks of school due to increased student drop-off by parents. We will have staff assisting with traffic and crossings.

Rising 10th, 11th, and 12th graders!
Parking passes will be available for purchase starting Monday, August 4th. To buy a parking pass, students must present the following items: their driver's license, vehicle registration, student ID, and a parking form signed by a parent or guardian. During this time, students can also pick up their iPads. A $20 user fee is required, and students must have their technology agreement forms signed by a parent or guardian. All forms will be emailed to students, or they can pick up a copy in the front office. All forms must be turned in as a hard copy with required information filled out. Freshmen will have the opportunity to pick up their iPads during freshman orientation.
Attention rising Freshmen, orientation will be on Thursday, August 14th, at 5:30! We will meet in the auditorium at Mitchell High School for an informational session, followed by a school tour! We look forward to seeing you soon!
Our BBQ with Mitchell County Schools retired staff was so much fun last year, we are doing it again! If you retired from Mitchell County Schools from any role, please join us on Wednesday, August 13 at 5:00pm for a BBQ!

📣 New Remote Learning Plan Approved! Here’s What Families Need to Know 📣
Mitchell County Schools has adopted a new Emergency Remote Learning Plan for the 25-26 school year! 🎉 With this new plan, all K–13 students will now take their devices home in the event of school closures due to weather, emergencies, or other events. The full Remote Learning Plan can be found on the Mitchell County Schools' website under Departments > Technology.
💻 To support this initiative, a non-refundable $20 User Fee will now apply to ALL students in grades K–13 beginning this school year.
✔️ This fee covers one accidental incident per year
✔️ K-8 devices will NOT be sent home daily but only in preparation for remote learning instruction
✔️ 9-13 devices will continue to go home on a daily basis as usual
✔️ Families needing support can contact their school for assistance
✔️ A limited number of hotspots are available for those needing assistance with connectivity

Mitchell High School Class of 2026 Senior Portraits will be July 23 & 24! Each rising senior's scheduled portrait time can be found in multiple emails that have been sent out to the upcoming senior class. There is also an informational booklet included in the email. If your scheduled portrait time conflicts with vacation, work, sports practice, transportation, or anything else, please get in touch with TPS Photography at service@tpsphotography.com as soon as possible and we will be happy to reschedule you. If you can't make it either day, don't worry! We will get you on the make up day in the fall - but please let us know you can't be there so we can open up your time for someone else. Summer senior portraits are more relaxed for you during the summer than they are on make-up day, so definitely make it if you can. Also, each senior who attends during the summer will be entered in a drawing to win a 20x24 custom wall portrait!
